Spain Windsurfing

In Spain the wind was light enough for rig 360s and heli-tacks I didn’t go very fast but it was good for developing my light wind beach start. We also made my tacks and gybes more consistent with coaching and practice.

I recommend that you go to wind centre Denia. We go there as much as we can when we visit Spain as it’s a great spot to windsurf with the thermal wind picking up in the afternoon so early evening is the best time to sail. Natalia our instructor is really fun.

We have also had a few kitesurfing lessons in Denia. The team at Kite45 are really friendly and we have been there a few times. We learnt how to body dray upwind and we managed to get up a little bit on our own in the board. I can’t wait to learn more and get sailing independently.

We also managed to squeeze some surfing in whilst my mum and dad enjoyed some drinks at the bar. We were lucky to catch some surf in Javea with me and Daniel even managing to catch some waves together! See the video.
