Regional Training Group - WPNSA

The Topper RTG at Weymouth was a fun medium to light wind weekend with a touch of sunshine! Even without perfect conditions we were lucky enough for it to have been a brilliant weekend.

In the morning of the first day we focused on starts with lots of rabbit runs (and I mean loads of rabbit runs!). For 3 hours we did just rabbit runs and at the end got towed in because there was no wind!

On the afternoon of the 1st day we did mark rounding doing short windward leeward courses to add some pressure. We focused on our sheeting out quickly and our controls. We then did gybing and tacking on the whistle with a mark at the end.

In the morning of the 2nd day we did racing! In the end I ended up 10th which I am very pleased with. Finally at the end we had some fun and played ‘quidditch’ with an old football.
